This session is about practicing being brave. We ALL hate rejection, get a squirmy stomach if we have to be honest in front of others and take a risk…. what if they judge us?
So we are going to have a look at how we judge ourselves and others. Are we harder on them? Or is it actually ourselves that we put through the wringer?
How quick are you to become defensive or attack someone – to hide the fact that they’ve caught you on the hop – touched a vulnerable place. And when you’ve over-reacted and don’t know how to get back to ‘ordinary’ how often have you hidden behind the wall of fear and embarrassment and got stuck?
We’ve all done it. Fear itself is just another emotion that we have for good reason. It stops us getting run over by a bus, eating poisonous plants or climbing trees that are too high. In today’s world though, sometimes it just makes us lonely and isolated. All we need to do is find our courage and practice using it. Simple!
